The Battle Strikers toys are among the best selling items at toy stores across the country and around the world. This game is centered on one of the classic children’s toys: the spinning top. However, this updated version bears little resemblance to the tops that most adults remember from their own childhood. This spinning top is controlled by magnets within the game’s included controllers, allowing players to direct its movement. The Battle Strikers tournament is played within a roped off arena to see which top will be the last one standing.

This game is recommended for children between the ages of 6 and 15, though some adults have become fans of Battle Striker as well. It is not indicated for children below the age of 6 because it does contain some small parts that may not be safe for the youngest children. The controls are easy to use, and require AA batteries for power. If you are purchasing this game as a gift, be advised that the batteries are not included in the Battle Strikers toy.

The starter kit comes with 2 tops, 2 controllers, the battle arena, and 2 launchers. This is all that is required to begin any two person tournament, and kits can be purchased for less than $40 in most major toy stores and online retailers. For those who own the game and have become fans, additional turbo tops may be added to your set. Each of these tops features a different weight and speed, which will affect their manageability and success in battle. Each turbo top is priced at or below $20, so they make great gifts for any child on your Christmas or Birthday list.

As Battle Strikers has caught on as a popular game, so too have multi-player tournaments. Some players prefer to adopt a round robin style, with two players battling it out at a time. Others choose to add more players and tops to the standard arena. Whichever method you prefer, this is a great game for any child’s party. While there is a degree of skill and finesse required, the controls are easy to use, and the rules simple, so even those who have not played before will enjoy it.

If you are looking for the perfect gift for any child on your list this year, consider a Battle Striker set. Recipients are sure to love the game’s interactivity and competition, and it is a great way to get kids involved at a party.
